
The company’s latest grant donation of $30,000 this year will be pivotal to Polk education.
The Polk Education Foundation will recognize AT&T’s history of uplifting Polk County Public Schools educational effort at the October 28 School Board meeting. Since 2009, AT&T has been an invaluable supporting componentpartner in of our missionthe Foundation’s purpose to enhance educational programs for Polk County Public Schools. Now this This year, the company has exceeded over $140,000 in donations contributions to the Foundation from its initial participation gift as a sponsor 16 years ago.
AT&T’s mission is to connect people to greater possibilities through innovative technology and exceptional service enabling them to thrive in a digital world. They have definitely achieved that mission in Polk County. Their recent $30,000 grant will allow the Foundation to help bridge the digital divide through gifting computers and digital literacy courses to graduating seniors in need as they pursue their higher education.
The collective $140,000 contributions over the years reflect AT&T support of STEM Success Grants and Polk Education Foundation programs.

Through philanthropic support, the Polk Education Foundation is able to fund classroom grants, operate a Free Teacher Market, provide a reading tutoring program for K-3 students through AmeriCorps Polk reads, offer an at-risk high school student mentoring program through Take Stock in Children, and award over $1 million in scholarships to graduating seniors. The Foundation also supports programs that increase student success, recognize and retain teachers and employees and enhance the educational experience.
Now, after years of commitment to aiding educational efforts, the Foundation commemorates our partnership with AT&T at the October 28 School Board meeting.
